Refund Policy

Last Updated: 25.09.2026

This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be issued by VirtuaHost, operating in the United Kingdom (UK).

1. General Policy

All purchases made through VirtuaHost are billed in GBP (£). By subscribing to or purchasing any service, you agree to the terms outlined in this Refund Policy. Refunds are assessed on a case-by-case basis and are issued in accordance with UK consumer protection standards.

2. Your 14-Day Cancellation Right

If you are a consumer, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 normally give you 14 days from the date of purchase to cancel your order and receive a full refund, without giving a reason.

Because our VPS and hosting services are provisioned and made available to you immediately upon successful payment, at checkout we ask you to expressly confirm that you want the service to begin right away, within this 14-day period. Where you have given this confirmation:

3. Other Eligibility for Refunds

Outside of the statutory right above, refunds may also be granted where:

4. Non-Refundable Items

Subject always to your statutory cancellation right in section 2, the following items are not refundable once provided:

5. Subscription Renewals & Add-Ons

Renewals and add-ons are billed for and provisioned in the same way as your original order, so the same 14-day cancellation right in section 2 applies to each renewal or add-on separately. If you cancel promptly after a renewal or add-on charge, before making further use of it, we will refund the unused portion on a pro-rata basis.

You can ask us to remove an add-on at any time and it will not renew after that. The exception is extra storage: it is a permanent upgrade for the life of the service, because a disk cannot be safely made smaller, so it is billed for as long as the service exists and cannot be removed on its own.

6. Pricing Changes

VirtuaHost reserves the right to modify service pricing at any time. Where a pricing change affects your active services, we will provide a minimum of 30 days' written notice via email before the new price takes effect. If you do not wish to continue at the updated price, you may cancel your service before the change takes effect and request a pro-rata refund for any unused pre-paid period, subject to the conditions in sections 2 and 3.

7. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Opening a payment dispute or chargeback without first contacting VirtuaHost violates this policy. If a dispute is opened:

8. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, you must:

9. Processing Time

Approved refunds will be issued back to the original payment method only. Refund processing typically takes 3–10 business days, depending on the payment provider.

10. Changes to This Policy

VirtuaHost reserves the right to update or modify this Refund Policy at any time. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
